  • Day 01: Nairobi – Masai Mara

You will be picked from your City Hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and given a safari briefing by our Company representative. Then, an early morning transfer to Wilson Airport to catch your domestic flight to Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most spectacular Game Reserve. On arrival, you will be met by the Safari Camp Driver for a transfer in a 4 x 4 Safari Jeep. You may opt to have a game drive en route or head straight to your hotel for relaxation before the afternoon game drive from 1600hrs returning to your overnight camp at sunset. During the Game Drive, your driver guide will find a scenic and safe spot where you will watch the sun set as it lights up the African Heavens with a royal golden color and feel as you sip on a bear or wine.

Maasai Mara Game Reserve covers 700 Square miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of the imagination; endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills. It’s the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara’s birds, occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Masai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park – Morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day.
Meals and Overnight: Mara Ngeche Camp or Similar (FB)

Day 02 and 03: Masai Mara National Park

You will have a full day in the Mara with an option of doing an early morning game drive at 0630hrs before breakfast and an afternoon game drive at 1600hrs or depart for a full day game viewing with picnic lunch that will take you to the Mara River to see the hippos and the crocodiles. You can also opt to take a balloon safari which will be followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush (Free of Charge). An optional visit to a Maasai Boma (homestead) will reveal their outstanding culture and customs.

Free Balloon Safari: on the 2nd or 3rd day, you will be picked up very early in the at 0430hrs and transferred by a 4×4 jeep to the launching site at 0500hrs. Here you will meet your pilot, receive a briefing and watch the inflation of your balloon. It’s a dawn take off, rising as the sun rises and floats in whichever direction the winds of the morning take you. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon: sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife below. At other times he will ascend to 1000ft or more to see the enormity and wonderful panorama of the Maasai Mara. From time to time the pilot must put more heat into the balloon with the powerful whisper burners. In between these burns, there is silence apart from the natural sounds below. Upon landing, you can observe the complete deflation of the balloon envelope and be ready for a full bush breakfast. Out of Africa Breakfast: Imagine sitting at a table under the shade of a classic umbrella tree on the Maasai Mara Plains. The table is laid with bone china and king’s silver cutlery.
