If you are looking for a relaxing time by the African Lakes, this is the trip for you. The Great Rift Valley Lake Safari is ideal for the Love birds who need a romantic getaway, for the birdwatchers the elderly and is best for solo travelers looking for a therapeutic break. It has less tedious activities and has a lot of sunrise and sunset boat rides which is healthy for the soul.
It has been designed to take you around the Rift Valley Lakes, giving you a chance to enjoy the wood land dominated by the yellow backed acacia that supports a vast number of birdlife. Most of the Rift Valley lakes are shallow and have algae which attracts a huge number of flamingoes, both the grater and the lesser flamingoes, hence the term pink lakes. Lake Bogoria, an alkaline water Lake sourced by hot springs and geysers has provided a conducive breeding place for these migratory pink birds. Lake Nakuru national Park is Kenya’s first and largest rhino sanctuary so sighting of both black and white rhinos is almost guaranteed. This safari is best for birdwatchers, business people, lake lovers but not limiting.
Day 01: You will be picked from the airport or your overnight hotel by our office representative and your driver guide and after the safari briefing; you will depart for Lake Naivasha through the Great Rift Valley escarpment. On arrival you will have lunch and later in the afternoon, have a boat ride and a tour of the Crescent Island.
Meals and Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or similar (FB)Day 02: In the morning depart for Lake Nakuru National Park via Lake Elementaita for a brief stop. On arrival at Lake Nakuru, you will have a game drive in the Park until mid morning when you will check in at your overnight lodge for leisure time and lunch. Later at 1600hrs, you will have an evening game drive until sunset.
Meals and Overnight: Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Similar (FB)Day 03: On this day you will be visiting two lakes. Lake Bogoria will be on a day trip of game viewing and bird watching. You will also have the opportunity to visit the hot geysers. Lunch will be at a lodge in Lake Bogoria. Continue with your evening activities around the lake before proceeding to Lake Baringo for overnight
Meals and Overnight: Island Camp Baringo or Similar (Fb)Day 04: After breakfast, you will have a boat ride in Lake Baringo and later drive back to Nairobi with lunch en route at Lake Elementaita. You will arrive in Nairobi in early evening and be dropped off at your pick up point or transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
NB: This safari can also be combined with 2 to 4 days in Maasai Mara.
