At around June, the migrating wildebeest take to the waters of the Grumeti River to embark on the lash and the replenished grasslands of the Maasai Mara. This continues into July and early August. Well it is often dictated by the East Africa’s rain fall as it is the major trigger of the migration and hence the migration dates might vary. Experience large heard in September and the calving season till October. Furthermore, it doesn’t necessarily end in August as strugglers may still be crossing till very late in the year. We recommend the above moth for a possibility to see croc-infested river crossing. Apart from the crossing there are many more spectacular surprises that come with the migration.
July, August, September, October and November are the most suitable for this safari. It would be unfair to go to the Mara through the floor of the rift valley without a chance to experience the beauty of the Rift Valley lakes and the breath-taking dramatic range of landscapes of the northern circuit of Kenya where you get a chance to find out about a species of Rhinos at a brim of extinction. Experience the Kenyan spirit in Nairobi on your last day before catching your flight.
